I’m thoroughly enjoying these Thursday night games with marquee teams this year. I hope that the Hokies are, too, because this is the second straight week that they have played in one. I picked against them last week when they played Boston College, but I’ll prove I am nothing if not fickle by backing them this week.

Boston College (+3.5) at Virginia Tech – I didn’t expect to have much interest in this showdown of ACC heavyweights, but then I wasn’t expecting the spread to be what it is, either. I’ve seen Virginia Tech play enough to know that I have a hard time believing in their offense when it matches up against a real team.
