Colorado (+3.5) vs. Alabama (Sunday, Dec. 30, 8:00 p.m. ET) – Maybe it is because I hate Nick Saban, but I like Colorado here. Dan Hawkins has this team playing with heart and hunger. Alabama isn’t. Colorado can score a pile if they want to, and I am not sure that Alabama can keep up. This game means more for a rebuilding Colorado than it does for an arrogant and bloated Alabama team. Pick: Colorado.

Two games for Saturday

There are two college games this week that stick out in my mind. Both are in the Big 12, which is strange because I don’t much like that conference as a rule:
Texas (-2.5) at Oklahoma State – I don’t love what Texas is doing this year, but I like them in this spot. The Horns have won three in a row, including an impressive comeback against Nebraska last weekend. Three winners for week 8 of college football

There are just a few college games that stick out this week.
Kansas (-3.5) at Colorado – The Jayhawks are a huge surprise this year with their undefeated record. Colorado is much better than they are supposed to be, too. Colorado is coming off a bad loss, though, while Kansas has covered every time out. I expect them to do the same here. Pick: Kansas
