10 things I’m thinking

10 things I’m thinking

Today is one of those days where I have a lot of research I am doing, and as a result I am reading a lot of sports websites and news articles. In other words, I have the best job in the world. As I have been reading around, these are 10 things have have stuck in my mind for further reference in my sports betting journeys:

What to do on a Monday night?

What to do on a Monday night?

I wouldn’t touch the Monday Night game with a 100 foot pole. Both teams are ridiculously flawed and I don’t see any way to squeeze any value out of it. I will come back to the NFL when they start showing better games (like Sunday – this isn’t a long strike), but I refuse to be part of such terrible football. In a pinch I guess I would lean towards Washington, but none of …read more

NHL hockey in London? Really?

NHL hockey in London? Really?

The NHL season got off to a premature and slightly ridiculous start in London, England when the Los Angeles Kings beat the defending Stanley Cup Champion Anaheim Mighty Ducks 4-1. Before you file this under ‘Who really cares?’, you might as well pay a bit of attention because hockey can present a large number of betting opportunities if you pay a little attention.
A couple of things of note came out of this game. First, hockey takes a while to get interesting. The play was sloppy and uneven, the defending champs even looked disinterested at times, and it was barely more …read more
