South Florida (-6.5) vs. Oregon (Monday, Dec. 31, 2:00 p.m. ET) – I wish we could have seen this game with Oregon at their best. They obviously aren’t, though. The quarterbacking is a mess, and the confidence is shot. I am going to make the unapologetically public pick and take South Florida. Colorado (+3.5) vs. Alabama (Sunday, Dec. 30, 8:00 p.m. ET) – Maybe it is because I hate Nick Saban, but I like Colorado here. Dan Hawkins has this team playing with heart and hunger. Alabama isn’t. Colorado can score a pile if they want to, and I am not sure that Alabama can keep up. This game means more for a rebuilding Colorado than it does for an arrogant and bloated Alabama team. Pick: Colorado.

Central Florida (-3) vs. Mississippi State (Saturday, Dec. 29, 4:30 p.m) – It’s a big jump up in class for Central Florida from the top of Conference USA to the middle of the SEC, but I like their chances. Mississippi State has put up some big games, but they aren’t consistent and they only have an average run defense. Wake Forest (-3) vs. Connecticut (Saturday, Dec. 29, 1:00 p.m. ET) – This is the toughest game so far. If it weren’t for the last three weeks of the year I would like UConn for sure. They were pitiful against West Virginia and Cincinnati, though. Oregon State (-4.5) vs. Maryland (Friday, Dec. 28, 8:30 p.m. ET) – I don’t really like either of these teams, but I like Oregon State much more than Maryland. Even though they didn’t really beat anyone they still won six of their last seven. Maryland struggled badly down the stretch, and they make enough mistakes to make anyone cry. TCU (-4) vs. Houston (Friday, Dec. 28, 8:00 p.m.) – A lot of teams are going throw coaching changes prior to their bowl, but Houston’s is messier and more distracting than most. I think that TCU is a better team than they have shown for much of this year, and I am not willing to quit on them just yet. If both teams play their best game I think TCU wins by at least a touchdown. Pick: TCU.

Boston College (-3) vs. Michigan State (Friday, Dec. 28, 5:30 p.m. ET) – Call me a chalk eater if you want, but I really like the favorite here. Both teams had troubles down the stretch, and Boston College definitely isn’t in the bowl game they wanted to be in. The game comes down to class, though.
