Utah (-8.5) vs. Navy – I love what Navy did this season, and I wish I could back them, but I just can’t. They have feasted on poor run defenses this year, and Utah is definitely not one of those. Utah will be able to slow down their offense, and Navy doesn’t have the defense to contain Utah if their offense gets working. On top of it all, Navy has to deal with the distraction of a coaching change. The public likes Navy and is driving this line down, but that just creates more value for Utah. Pick: Utah.
UPDATE: Well, I started with a loss, but I don’t mind. The second half of that game is why I love college football – it was exciting, unpredictable, and totally crazy. Bowl season started off with a bang.
